Gateway to the Galaxy Part II Audible Audio Edition Jonathan Yanez JR Castle Scott Aiello Podium Publishing Books Reviews

  • Yanez gives the second installment to the Gateway to the Galaxy series tremendous vigor amd excitememt on a galactic scale!
While book one was good, it didn't quite reach the level of a 'great' story, but 'Always Forward' definitely reaches the level of greatness and beyond. Our slate of heros has grown to include Frank, Vega and Sava with a budding romance taking root between two of them.
The action is non-stop and spectacular with new weapons, techniques and adversaries with each turn of the page!
This is a real page turner that you can't put down. We proudly award this addition to the series 5 Stars.
  • Book 2 in a series, and I'm already pretty much burnt out on the high octane action that seems to lack a pause button. This story is full of good action scenes, but they ended up strung together with almost no pauses. Personally, I'd like some breaks in the action and some character development, neither of which was present in this tale.

In the end, It was interesting, but not really "fun" and I have lost interest in reading more of the series.
  • Mr. Yanez does it again by creating another wonderful storyline to follow on the first. We get to experience Frank and all his witty humor all over again. This is one series not to miss
  • Just like the first book I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Could not put this book down!
  • Thnx once again for gifting me this to read, enjoyed as per usual. Story-line was very good, smooth writing which flowed well. Found it an extremly quick read cos just how nice the book was, I devoured the whole story within a couple of hours, loving every minute.

Loads of action, loads of humor, not too much violence; none too make anyone squeamish anyway

So, highly recommend this series if you enjoy Sci Fi n fans of Jonathan's you will def be wanting more n book2 doesn't disappoint in the slightest.
Its full of surprises, with loads more action than book1 had; this might be the death of you cos you won't want to come out.
So snuggle down, hold on tight, you're going in for a hell of a read, def going to wear you out.
Another book well done. Cant wait for the next instalment coming soon.
  • Giving five stars is something I have rarely done for any book, but this one has everything that I enjoy, good VS evil, winning over incredible odds, sci-fi that doesn't take itself too seriously, humor and the start of a romance or two.
If you like sci-fi at all then you will like this book.
However it would be a whole lot better if you read the first one in the series first, it sure anyone could catch up with what's going on otherwise.
Speaking of the continuation of the first book one thing I really liked was the fact that the story continued into the second book as if you were starting a new chapter instead of several months later when a lot of stuff happened you were unaware of.
  • I made the mistake of downloading all three books in the series. The first exhibited a juvenile writing style and bordered on plagiarism of the Stargate and Green Lantern stories. I began the second book in the vain hope that the writing and editing might improve. To the contrary, it got worse, to the point where I can no longer force myself to keep reading. I seldom encounter series that cannot hold my interest, but this is one. Serious sci-fi fans beware.
  • Yes! Another entertaining book. What? A cliff hanger? You say the next book is only a couple of weeks away? Ok, Ok .... I get it, but on the eve a major battle? ------------- I will take a deep breath and relax. If you are reading this review please understand that the story is worth the wait and I am just being a normal fan in my desire for more. The protagonist is both human and extra-human in both capability and personality. Kind of a Superman and Clark Kent almost in the same sentence. Yes, there is a Lois Lane equivalent as well. If you read book one you know enough to wish to read this book too, so do it!
