• This is a well-written business fable that is light, fast-paced and very easy to read. I'm very familiar with Jeff Black's work and can speak to the creative methods he uses to deliver his content for his clients. This book captures the essence of his business workshops without the stuffy feel of a traditional "business book". I highly encourage anyone looking to hone their communication style or build their executive presence / brand to buy the book. I found it to be a pretty quick read (chapters are short with crisp delivery) with ideas that a person can implement immediately into their daily routines.

• This is a great book! I had the privilege of attending one of Jeff's programs and have interacted with many of his students. I have sponsored many folks on my staff to attend Jeff's classes. I have to say the book is spot on with how he conducts his classes and the results he gets from his students and I can personally attest to the improvements I have seen in others. • The advice is presented in the context of an office narrative we can all relate to; poorly ran meetings, defensive and counterproductive team dialogue, to ineffective leadership. This book doesn't offer theory, it offers actionable advice and demonstrates admirable tact in dealing with others. Mr. Black also presents common faults and specific intricacies of executive presence in such a way that enables you to put yourself in the given scenarios, critique yourself, and picture yourself taking and using the advice provided on the each page.
• Jeff's book defies the expression 'no pain no gain'. Fun to read and fun to laugh at the bad and ineffective ways we have all tried to 'make our case' in front of business leaders. Jeff’s strategies work and they're simple. His suggestions that I personally have taken were painless, and more importantly they helped achieve the result I was after. Jeff himself is a presentation to behold. I would urge anyone out there looking for an opportunity to really change how your talent and your organization communicate, to buy a copy of the book and then to get on Jeff Black's very busy calendar!

• This book was a quick read, chock full of tips on executive presence and communication techniques that an employee at any level can use.
  
  While one of the last chapters hit on the importance of storytelling to get a message across, the book itself sets a great example. The lessons provided are shared through conversations among a group attending a training session on leadership and communications. The characters' stories and experiences help make the lessons much easier to digest and remember.
  
  If you are looking for a career-enhancing book that you can finish over the weekend and test first thing on Monday, this should be your next read.
